Second hand, used, preloved – what exactly does this mean?
This means that the used static caravan has been previously owned but the makes, models, and condition of second hand static caravans vary between sellers. We are a long-established, trusted static caravan dealer with many years of experience and a good reputation. We ensure that our used static caravan stock is in keeping with what our customers would expect and our valued reputation.
Has a used static caravan been bought and sold off site many times or does it have one careful owner like cars?
Buying a second hand / used static caravan off site is not like buying a used car. Static caravans don’t suffer the same wear and tear and are sited in the same spot for long periods.
Most use static caravans for sale off site are likely to have started and spent a large part of their life from new on a holiday park.
Many of these static caravans are only used during the season and many owners may only have use them for part of the season. This means that used static caravans are often in very good condition.
Some second-hand static caravans for sale off site may have been sold off site more than once. The crucial point to remember is that they are strong, built to last, and it will be obvious when viewing them what condition they are in.

Where do second hand static caravans come from and does this make a difference to their value?
We buy and sell new and used static caravans from manufacturers, parks, and private owners. The age, make, model, size, features (double glazing and central heating?)and condition of used static caravans are all factors in their value and price.
Holiday parks often prefer static caravans less than 10 years old. Newer used static caravans are more expensive for dealers to buy. Also, caravans with gas central heating and double glazing are warm. However, gas boilers and central heating systems and double-glazed windows add to the cost of manufacture a static caravan. This understandably is reflected in their price.
Larger used static caravans e.g., 12 ft wide and 35/36/37/38 ft long often tend to have double glazing and central heating. This, coupled with their size can also be reflected in higher prices. That said, offers like ‘buy back’ and special offers (which we sometimes have) can mean that buyers can essentially enjoy bargain prices.
Beware of people simply advertising cheap static caravans for sale off site. There is often a good reason for this. Caravantastic values great customer service and feedback. A fundamental part of this is ensuring that quality and condition of our static caravans is good and that prices are fair.
Do you have a lot of used static caravan stock coming in frequently?
Yes. We regularly update our stock of used static caravans with dozens to choose from at our Somerset and Devon show grounds. However, if you find and view a static caravan that suits your needs you would be advised not to wait to purchase it. This is because we cannot guarantee that we will be able source the same make/model/features/year in the same condition.
